SALMON ARM – Users of Highway 1 near Salmon Arm and Highway 97A near Enderby will benefit from an enhancement project to improve the safety and efficiency of the roadways, thanks to a $900,000 investment from the provincial government. The improvement project will include the resurfacing and paving of miscellaneous sections along the two highways and is expected to be completed by July 15.
“Our local highways are essential pieces of infrastructure to our communities and our regional economy,” said Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo. “This investment is a commitment by our provincial government to strengthen our regional infrastructure and provide safer driving conditions for the travelling public as well as commercial users.”
The resurfacing project is part of B.C. on the Move, the B.C. government’s 10-year transportation plan to improve the province’s transportation network.
